I’ve been interested in painting and drawing since I was a teen. I began practicing my craft in the mid 70′s and towards the end of my tour of duty in the U.S. Coast Guard, I was commissioned to produce a painting for a high-ranking USCG officer as a retirement present. The response the painting received at it’s unveiling ceremony proved to be the catalyst for for me to pursue the study of art at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
After taking a studio course in screen printing, I started creating small batches of one color t-shirts for local events. The demand for more shirts increased over time and lead me to start my own screen printing business. This company evolved over the years and has been involved in many aspects of the printing industry, growing from apparel to advertising specialties to industrial applications. During this time I made the transition from creating my graphic designs with pen and ink to the modern day medium of Photoshop.
Due to health concerns I sold the business in 2002 and now concentrate on producing graphic designs for sale online.
